The end of Ch. 4s battles is the one that ends the Three Kingdoms, Capture of Chengdu. Wang Yuanji wants to show what lead to the downfall of Shu, that it was mainly Jiang Wei being too obsessed with fulfilling his predecessors desires, but he says he couldn't just abandon them and doesn't regret his choices.
It's actually not that hard of a stage, we just need to take a lot of bases relatively quickly. The timer is more generous here than it usually is though. Succeed in that and you'll already have most the map taken over, so then it's just taking over the enemy HQ.
Once Ch. 4 ends, it's now become nighttime at the debate council. Zhuge Liang then proposes they conclude the gathering with a test of wits against each other, constructing their own hypothetical battles to best one another.
