Description: We watched this female Tufted Duck suddenly attack and kill a duckling in the brood accompanying her. The dead duckling appeared to have a white chin and we wondered if it was a Harlequin Duck or was from another ducks brood. This happened in Iceland on the swiftly-flowing Laxa River, Lake Myvatn, on 1 July 2019.
