Working on a level of our own to start the stream off. An hour of mapping as we continue our 90's inspired mall using the Mapster32 level editor for Duke Nukem 3D. Started working on a key card area, a big outdoor store.
We then take a trip to the original DooM, sort of, with Dennis "StarNukem" Collins reimagining of E1M2 Nuclear Plant for Duke Nukem 3D. It will be interesting to see how he updates this map to the Build Engine. While it would be relatively easy to just convert a map from DooM to Duke, in fact, tools exist to do just that already, translating it into the aesthetics and world of Duke is a different beast entirely.
After that, we went back to 1999 with a linear map called Quest by Jorge Brea. While it had no keycards or puzzles, it did a lot of fun, abstract sector creatures to sell the theme of Duke travelling through, well, Hell... rather fitting given the map we just played.
What we do in these streams is showcase user created content to show what kind of passion and creativity this niche community has crafted to show others what Duke Nukem 3D has to offer for any Retro Boom Shooter FPS lovers, or even old Duke Fans (like myself) who may have not dipped their toes into the user content world. Additionally, we take a look at how these 2.5D games create their 3D world from a level design perspective as I try to learn from those who came before me since I'm currently making a map of my own for Duke Nukem 3D using Mapster32, the included level editor for eDuke32.

![DUKE NUKEM 3D USER MAP (#19): Riverside Town & Quantum Physics
We are guaranteed at least a double feature map set today, but this is really the start of a journey through a series of connected maps forming a loose episode by Paul High Treason Monteray. The stream starts off with 2012s User Map, Riverside Town, where we find Duke Nukem staying in a hotel in a small decrepit city called Riverside where Im assuming shenanigans ensue that leads into 2013s level, Quantum Physics.
Additionally, we take a look at how these 2.5D games create their 3D world from a level design perspective as I try to learn from those who came before me since Im currently making a map of my own for Duke Nukem 3D using Mapster32, the included level editor for eDuke32.
