On December 1, 2025, A deputy from the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Department located a stolen pickup truck traveling on the highway. When other deputies caught up, a high-risk traffic stop was conducted and the driver (Christina) pulled over. Deputies exited their squads and shouted commands at Christina to turn the vehicle off. Shortly later, Christina accelerated and began fleeing from the traffic stop.
Deputies began to pursue the vehicle and speeds reached approximately 100 MPH before Christina abruptly stopped in the left lane and exited with her hands up. She was ordered to lay on the ground and complied with commands. Christina was then secured in handcuffs and searched before being placed into a squad car. One deputy noted that he could smell the odor of intoxicants and Christina admitted to drinking. When asked if she took anything from inside the stolen truck, Christina stated she took money from the truck and put it in her sock.
Deputies noted that Christina’s speech was slurred and that her eyes were bloodshot and glossy. She was transported to the Ozaukee County Jail, where deputies asked if she would be willing to perform field sobriety tests. Christina agreed and admitted to being intoxicated before providing a PBT sample. It was determined that Christina was impaired and an intoxometer test later revealed that she had a BAC of .11.
The total distance of the pursuit was approximately 2.3 miles. Christina was found guilty for Vehicle Operator Flee/Elude Officer, Take and Drive Vehicle without the owners Consent, and OWI (3rd). She was sentenced to 4 years in prison, 9 months in jail, and 4 years of extended supervision.
