Boye Alluminum Crochet Hook size I/9 (5.5mm)
Peaches & Creme Yarn in White, Yellow and Bright Pink (1-2.5oz ball for each contrasting color, 2 or 3-2.5oz balls for main color)
Sewing needle
Size:
small 9"w x 9 1/2" h (large 17"w x 15" h)
when not listed in () it's for both sizes
Gauge:
12 sts and 10 rows = 4" in half-double crochet
Instructions:
Take main yarn color, Ch2
Rnd 1: Work 7 hdc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st to first hdc - 7 sts
Rnd 2: Ch1, 2 hdc in each st around, sl st to join - 14 sts
Rnd 3: Ch1, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next st; rep from * around, sl st to join - 21 sts
Rnd 4: Ch1, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 2 sts; rep from * around, sl st to join - 28 sts
Rnd 5: Ch1, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 3 sts; rep from * around, sl st to join - 35 sts
Rnd 6: Ch1 *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 4 sts; rep from * around, sl st to join - 42 sts
Rnd 7: Ch1, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 5 sts; rep from * around, sl st to join - 49 sts
Rnd 8: Ch1, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 6 sts; rep rom * around, sl st to join - 56 sts - stop here for the small size, circle measures 6", and continue with next step in pattern.
Rnd 9: Ch1, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 7 sts; rep from * around, sl st to join - 63 sts
Rnd 10: Ch1, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 8 sts; rep from * around, sl st to join - 70 sts
Rnd 11: Ch1, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 9 sts; rep from * around, sl st to join - 77 sts
Rnd 12: Ch1, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 10 sts; rep from * around, sl st to join - 84 sts
Rnd 13: Ch1, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 11 sts; rep from * around, sl st to join - 91 sts
Rnd 14: Ch1, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 12 sts; rep from * around, sl st to join - 98 sts
Rnd 15: Ch1, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 13 sts; rep from * around, sl st to join - 105 sts
Rnd 16: Ch1, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 14 sts; rep from * around, sl st to join - 112 sts
Circle measuers 12". Cut and finish ends.
With contrasting color 1 pull up a loop along the edge of your circle.
Ch1, hdc in back loops of all 56 (112) sts.
Cut yarn and finish ends.
Switch to main color pull up a loop along the top.
Rnd 1: Ch1, hdc in all 56 (112) sts.
Repeat Rnd 1 until small bag measures 6 1/2" and big bag is 10" from bottom of bag.
Switch to contrasting color 1 or 2.
Ch1, hdc in all 56 (112) sts for 2 rnds.
Cut and finish ends.
Strap: Ch56
Work hdc in all 54 sts for 3 rows.
Fold in half and sew together.
Attach to bag.
Drawstring:
Small: Ch for 23"
Big: Ch for 35"
Fill with all your summer goodies!
