Hey everyone! Do you wanna build a snowman? Or at least knit one. I felt like this was so cute for the cold months and coming holidays. I hope you guys have fun with this one.

Items:
Boye Alluminum Double Pointed Needles size 7 (4.75mm)
Clover Bamboo Straight Needles size 11 (8mm)
Red Heart Shimmer Yarn in Ivory
Lion Brand Heartland Yarn in Kings Canyon
Stitch Marker
Tapestry Needle
Scissors
Fiber Fill
For Rice Bag: (optional)
Dry Rice
Old sock, piece of fabric or small bag
Thread and sewing needle
Size:
This pattern can be altered to be any size you want your snowman to be.
But this pattern makes ruffly a 9" snowman.
Cast on 42 sts (14 on each of 3 dpn)
Work knit for 7".
Decreases:
Row 1: *Knit to last 2 sts on first needle, K2tog; rep from * around
Row 2: Knit
Repeat Rows 1 & 2 until 27 sts remain.
Row 3: *K2tog; repeat from * to last st, K1 - 14 sts
Finish off ends.
If you're going to add the rice bag for added weight to the snowman. You would add it now, before the fiber fill.
You can you an old sock, square of fabric or pre-made bag, filled with dry rice and sew up the ends to close them.
Stuff with fiber fill to form bottom of snowman. Weave yarn around base to form the bottom. Stuff top half for the snowmans head. Close off top of snowman.
Knit a hat and scarf and dress up your snowman. You can add a face with buttons if you would like to.
Hat:
Cast on 24 sts
Work stockinette stitch (or whatever stitch you would like the pattern of your hat to be) for the height you need to fit your snowman's head. Bind off. Sew up back seam (if not working on dpn) and attach to snowman.
Scarf:
Cast on 5 sts (on size 11 needles)
Work stockinette for the length to fit around your snowman's neck with a little hanging longer. Bind off and attach to your snowman.
