MMC Port Holdings is said to have appointed Glen Hilton, DP World’s Asia Pacific chief executive officer (CEO), as its new group CEO.
Sources said Hilton resigned from his position at DP World about two weeks ago, and is set to take over the job at MMC Port in October, replacing Datuk Azman Shah Mohd Yusof who stepped down in July.
He previously served as the CEO of Malaysia’s largest container terminal, the Port of Tanjung Pelepas from 2013 to 2016.
His appointment, alongside executive chairman Sultan Ahmed Sulayem, is seen as part of MMC Port’s plan to grow the business and boost its value.
The move comes amid reports that MMC has halted work on its planned Bursa Malaysia listing over valuation concerns.----------------------------------
