In this short video you will learn how to tie the Double Noose Knot. This particular knot is listed in Ashley's Book of Knots No.1135 "A decorative loop that will prove quite practical in any place where a Double Loop is called for.
@TheBearEssentials often come up with some interesting uses for knots, I wonder if they can suggest some good uses for this knot? Also if you have suggestions on when and where this knot can be used, then do leave me a comment in the comments section. I personally wonder if this knot would be useful in the garden, perhaps for bringing bushed together and then securing them to a trellis or wall?
I only recently discovered this knot when I was looking at a photo of a knot board, and this one jumped out at me as I did not recognise it. I then asked for help from the community, who were then able to pass on a reference to this knot in ABoK.
My understanding is that a loop knot is a fixed loop and a noose knot has an adjustable loop. As Ashley describes this as a loop knot, it has me now questioning whether or not my thinking is correct, as this to me is a noose knot. Let me know in the comment your views on loop and noose?
