Stop sleeping on density blocks!
This is probably one of the best ways to get in heavy duty, high intensity moderate volume work in a very short period of time. You can use training weights that are way heavier than the weights you would typically use when trying to accrue this many reps in a session, and you can get the work in faster as well.
While this isn't a strength building protocol or a hypertrophy training protocol per se, it actually ends up blending the 2 together in a pretty ideal fashion. You are going heavy enough that you will get stronger, and you're doing enough total work that you will get bigger. All that in about half an hour. That's a pretty good deal!
Pick a weight that you could hit for at least 5 clean reps, and knock out sets of 1-3 reps with that weight every 30-60 seconds for at least 15 minutes. Then do the same for another complementary exercise.
This method hones technical prowess exceedingly well. By the end of the density block you basically just become a machine that is perfectly suited to lifting that weight, and you kind of feel like you could just keep doing it forever.
