Materials:

Hey guys! Today I am going to show you how to make a marquise diamond shape with double half hitch knots (DHHKs) surrounding it. This shape can be make on its own or within a pattern so if you have any pattern requests that use this shape feel free to comment below! Let’s get started.
Set up - Cut 6 pieces of 5mm 3 ply rope. I’m using 2 meters per cord but please note that I had quite a bit of cord leftover.
Tie a DHHK with the two middle cords. Using the inside right cord as your filler tie another DHHK moving to the right.
Using the inside left cord as your filler cord tie another DHHK moving to the left.
Using the 4th cord from the right as your filler cord tie a DHHK moving to the right.
Using the next filler cord on the left tie another DHHK. Using the 2nd cord from the right as your filler cord tie a DHHK working to the right about 1 inch down from the Lark’s Head knot at the top.
Using the next filler cord on the left tie another DHHK.
Using the next filler cord on the left tie another DHHK.
Repeat that process on the left side of your work.
Using the second cord from the left as your filler cord tie a DHHK working to the left.
Using the next cord on the right as your filler cord tie a DHHK working to the left.
Repeat on the right side of your work.
Using the second cord from the left as your filler cord tie a DHHK working to the left.
Repeat on the right side of your work.
Using the cord on the left as your filler cord tie 5 DHHKs working to the right.
Repeat on the left side of your work.
Tie a DHHK with the two middle cords to connect the two sides.
Using the outside left cord as your filler cord tie 3 DHHKs working down and to the right.
Using the outside left cord as your filler cord tie 1 DHHK working down and to the right.
Repeat on the right side of your work.
