Digimon Story: Time Stranger
Request Playthrough | Part 29: No Cure for Stupidity
Difficulty: Balanced (Normal)
Before anyone asks, the title is the actual term that's on the main mission.
We return to Rebellion Village to meet up with Dr. Simmons. We tell her what happened and what became of Inori and Aegiomon. Public Safety is ready to unleash a weapon, to the point that they even captured a Digimon to power it. So now we need to find answers. This means visiting her old office. We're in the Special Forces Research Office and Digimon are abound. We'll need the right types to make sure we get the job done.
As we explore and find info, Dr. Simmons needs an ID so she can access the research labs. There's just one problem: we need a supervisor's ID number. So we got to do that by going through all the rooms. It's annoying because as we do, more Digimon show up making things harder. Eventually we find it and return back to Dr. Simmons. With this info, we make the ID. But problems occur, forcing us to take them down. Once we take down three waves of enemy Digimon, we reach Sector B. Upon arriving at the lab, it turns out that the Digimon they captured was Vulcanusmon. His core was absorbed into the weapon. To make matters worse, it was Kuga's doing. She apologizes for not doing something about this but it's then the dark figure emerges and we get another Akashic Vision.
This time, it's to save Vulcanusmon. From those that would use him for their own ends. They're the reason why the Giant Slayer even exists to begin with. All we can do now is leave the Research Division. Dr. Simmons tells us to head for the Government Building. We do that and find Aegiomon. He's learned the truth about his origins. It's also here he says something only for us to return back to the In-Between Theater. Mirei explains that Aegiomon was created by Chronomon, meant to inherit his power to tamper with time. And that power only led to despair. So now we got to change things once again.
We return back to the underground base and this time, we're rescuing Vulcanusmon. But Dr. Kuga is there and he's not happy. Not happy that Simmons is interfering yet again. We rescue Vulcanusmon and the two of them head out. But as we do, we face Dr. Kuga, operating a Power Loader. The Power Loader has no type but it can pack a punch with a variety of different attacks. You'll need your strongest Digimon for the job. I recommend you make sure they are high level with strong stats so you can bring the pain. Once we take it down, Dr. Kuga is still determined to activate the weapon. He's nothing but a petty jerk. Jeez.
With Vulcanusmon saved, the future has been changed yet again. However, it's here that we need to stop that Giant Slayer from causing the Shinjuku Inferno to happen.
We meet with Dr. Simmons who mentions someone named Dianamon. Chuumon explains that she was once Lunamon. She resides in the Cosmic Area. That's going to transpire in Part 30.
