Request Playthrough | Part 5: The Holy City of Aratum
The Sentinel Barracks are safe. Now it's time we take the fight to the demons. We begin the fifth mission, The Holy City of Aratum.
Doom Slayer can pilot a giant robot but he can also pilot a dragon. A dragon with gun turrets, thrusters and mechanized wings. Yep. We're introduced to another section. Aerial shooter section and it's glorious. Part of this is a tutorial teaching you how to use it. Much of our efforts will be to take down Hell Carriers. You need to eliminate the Assault Batteries before taking out the main core. Once you destroy a Hell Carrier, you can expose a landing zone. This will let you head to the ground and rip and tear.
There are four Hell Carriers you need to destroy. The main goal is to Break the Cathedral Forcefield. We also are introduced to Enforcers and these guys are brutal. You need to take them down so that the reinforcement waves can go away. We also get our hands on the glorious Super Shotgun. A brutal yet destructive weapon. We also get a Plasma Cycler, the second Plasma Rifle class gun.
After taking care of things, we head into the Cathedral. But it seems that someone ain't letting us in without a fight. As this happens, the Prince of Hell, Arzrak continues on and finds what he seeks. But King Novik stands in his way. He orders the charges to be detonated and the Holy City of Aratum falls. Doom Slayer escapes as Novik uses a Smoke Grenade and escape with the amulet.
The Siege awaits in Part 6.
