Digimon Story: Time Stranger
Request Playthrough | Part 20: Into a Changed World
Difficulty: Balanced (Normal)
The events of the last part has Dan, Inori and Aegiomon heading back to the future... a changed future.
They end up getting arrested by D-SAT and imprisoned. But it's then Asuna appears and gets the three out. She then takes them to a place called Rebellion Village. It's also here we find that Dr. Simmons was transferred to D-SAT only for her to ditch them when she learned that they're building a weapon to eliminate all Digimon. So she's residing in Rebellion Village. It's a hideout for Digimon who not only escaped but those that were driven out from their home in Central Town.
We meet with Dr. Simmons. After that, we pay a visit to Merukimon who's looking worse for wear. In fact, he's injured. Turns out things aren't any better thanks to the Titans. But the Agent suggests that they can settle things with words instead of violence, then peace can be attained. So now it's time to return to the Digital World. But Weregarurumon asks us to find a healer. What for? We don't know.
Upon arriving, Central Town has been taken over. Thankfully they aren't that bad. We find someone named Lanamon. She's willing to help us out. With the help of MasterBlimpmon, we first head for the Abyss Area. We got to see what happened to Shellmon. Turns out Shellmon has evolved to Venusmon. She wants us to deliver something to a Titan as a peace offering. Not so bad right? With the conch, we head into the Depths.
Before we can head even further, we have to cross paths with SkullSeadramon. This one's an annoying sort because it has a habit of reflecting physical or magic attacks. It's a Virus so having Vaccine-types will help. If you hit a physical attack, it'll counter with Aqua Pressure. You need to deal damage with magic based first. As you do, it'll move a bit so now you need to switch tactics. Using elemental weaknesses and physical attacks. Once you deal enough damage, it's face shows up, gearing up to deliver a powerful attacks. Focus on the core. If you can do that, it won't use its signature attack. The strategy will repeat so just use magic until it goes down.
We defeat it but our work is not done. See you in Part 21 for where our actions will have consequences... and what we can do to change it.
