Star Fox (2026)
Playthrough | Part 1: Easy Route
The game is now officially out and it's time we get this done. Welcome to Star Fox (2026).
Let me get all of this out of the way just in case. Star Fox is very strange in terms of releases. We have the original Star Fox on SNES, then we got a reboot known as Star Fox 64. Star Fox 64 3D is a remaster that was made for the 3DS. Star Fox Zero is a reimagining whereas this game is a remake. Get it? Good. Let's get on with it.
This game is as straightforward as you can get. It's a remake of Star Fox 64, telling the same story. The only difference is that we get a prologue that shows what happened to James McCloud. It was mentioned in the prologue text in Star Fox 64 but to see it happen here is something else. Not only that but we get some banter inbetween levels. I like this because it really does add more to this game. Though I still feel it can be a bit lifeless. Who cares? Everyone involved did a good job.
We cover the Easy Route and I had to essentially take an L in Sector X. I'm fine with it because I have no complaints with it. But unlike Star Fox 64, there's no credits scene. It only happens when you get the best ending.
