Digimon Story: Time Stranger
Request Playthrough | Part 12: Battle & Prepare
Difficulty: Balanced (Normal)
I did say that we need to battle and prepare... and we are honestly.
We prepare and that means getting our digimon into training to boost its stats so they can digivolve to Ultimate when it happens. Once we take care of that, both Kokuwamon brothers open the way further so we can meet Vulcanusmon. Unfortunately, he's not in the mood for visitors. He's here to fight using the very system that he made to do so.
Vulcanusmon is a tough opponent. A tough cookie to say the least. He is using the Divine Arms Version Omega defense system to stop us. It consists of two arms: one a Vaccine and one a Virus. You'll need a balance of Data, Virus and Vaccine types for this. Take down the arms first using the respective types. Once the arms go down, he'll summon more. Make sure you are using different kinds so you can be able to do multiple weaknesses. After they go down, focus on the center and that's where you'll need Virus digimon. Eventually it'll summon more arms. If you have the Cross Art Blast, use it to deal major damage. It's a long fight but not an impossible one if you heal properly and the like.
Once Vulcanusmon is defeated, we tell him that we're not Titans anymore. He apologizes to us and he then tells us to head up to the village and let them know what happened. Everything goes well. We return to Merukimon and everything's good. We're now set to go to Junomon's temple. Before that, we're doing some side quests. But these are special as you need to get special armored digi-eggs. Yep. We need them so we can get more allies to our cause. If you were a fan of Digimon Adventure 02, we can recruit Shurimon, Nefertimon, Lighdramon and Flamedramon. So yeah, we get four armor digimon for completing it. How nice.
We'll meet with Junomon in Part 13.
