Playthrough | Finale: One Last Loose End
We got the True Ending so why are we back here? Simple. We got one final loose end to tie up. Before that, we return to Ultra Planeptune where the whole cast thanks the player for getting the best ending. How sweet.
In addition, there are some extra stuff in Hyperdimension that you can check out where Neptune, Nepgear, Noire, Uni, Rom and Ram take a shot at being idols. It's a nod to Producing Perfection but you do get some sweet armor. You'll need them.
As for the extra scenario, this happens entirely in the Ultradimension. Turns out something's very off. All the stores are closed and the people are spending money on mobile games like there's no end. This is a problem as it has affected all the nations. So the CPUs & the CPU Candidates work to find out the cause. Turns out that it's due to the likes of two individuals: Bamo and Regu. Remember them from the prologue? They're here to pull off a scheme to destroy Ultra Gamindustri and rebrand it as Sociomobilindustri. That ain't happening. So they get to work investigating and find out what the people are doing. Turns out it's mostly spending money on microtransactions. It's absurd. We also have a boss battle where Plutia and Peashy take down some monsters.
After they are dealt with, they learn that Bamo and Regu are brainwashing the people and forcing them to spend money on mobile games and microtransactions. So to fight back, the CPUs and the Candidates get to work on making mobile games on their own but be actual games that provide something to enjoy. This pisses off Bamu and Regu and they decide to use something to raise the brainwashing and turn them into spending zombies. Not good. They find the two and have to take down another monster.
As Bamo and Regu escape via wireless network, they come up with a plan. So Vert does some measurements and has Nepgear use the helmet device to take them inside the game. It leads us into the last area of the extra story: Digital Future Land. After much exploring, they confront Bamo and Regu. Turns out they were using ancient tech from the ruins of Tari, an OOPArt. And now they're using it to strengthen themselves.
Bamo and Regu are the superbosses of this scenario. You need to at least be at level 110 or higher to do this. If you can achieve that, give them hell using anything they can to take them down. With Bamo and Regu defeated, they destroy the OOPArt and everyone returns to normal. Bamo and Regu apologize for their actions so instead of imprisonment, Plutia sends htem to a southern island in the Ultradimension. This time, they can make their own nation without needing any underhanded means. But that's a story for another time.
