My modern arrangement of the Requiem Mass Sequence, “Dies irae” (Latin for “Day of Wrath”).
Headphones recommended. (There are some low notes that won’t reproduce on a cell phone.)
The “Dies irae” melody is one of the oldest known melodies in Western civilization. Some scholars believe the melody dates back to the sixth century and originates with St. Gregory the Great.

Here is a run through of the first half of a song Im working on. Its a transcription of a song recorded by Dutch teen singer, Heintje, in 1971. Its called, Abend Wird Es Im Tal I need to have someone translate that, but I think its something about the valley in the evening. I think its a great song and sounds great on the trumpet.
