Aoi and Inugami go to confront Nobunaga to see if he's really commanding demons, but determine that he isn't, even if his war waging is part of the cause for their appearance. Then we hear that demons have appeared in Mitsuhide's territory and go to eliminate them with Hideyoshi. But then after the battle, we see that elsewhere, Nobunaga has been assassinated at Honnoji by Mitsuhide.
So yeah, in a rare case they've made Mitsuhide be the primary villain in this game. The only other thing I can think that does that is Sengoku Basara. Unless you count "misunderstood villain" type deals or a good guy that turns at the end for a good reason. Just outright evil.
