Here's another important story-location that has now been infiltrated by York. This video contains some vague spoilers, so be careful...

0:00 - As you may know, there's just one inoperable door standing in between you and Galaxy of Terror's secretive basement level. So, how to get past it? At first, I spent a lot of time trying to clip through the bar's interior using NPCs, since at certain nights both George and Thomas can be seen entering the basement. This didn't work, but I had a bunch of interesting ideas that might be worth sharing just in case they'd come in handy somewhere else.

First of all, talking to George at this specific corner, you can get York shoved in a rather tight space between him and the walls. I had hoped that being in a tight enough space as the game tries to re-position York after talking to George might be enough to clip through walls, but apparently it's not.

0:35 - Second idea. If you talk to George for long enough, you stall him enough to mess up with the NPC schedule. Thomas will leave his position while George is still positioned next to the liquor cabinet, and sometimes York can become sandwiched between these two characters. Thomas will eventually do a mad sprint, pushing George inside the nearby walls in the process. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem possible for the same thing to happen to York.

2:19 - Third idea. If you 'observe', time becomes stopped but NPCs may still continue their routines such as walking forward and opening doors. York is considered to not have collision at this time, so with proper positioning and timing, you can get York completely overlapped with an NPC. In this instance, I tried being as close to George as possible as he opens the door to the basement before closing the 'observe' text box, but this wasn't enough to clip through either.

2:39 - Fourth idea. If you complete the side quest with Jack shortly after Thomas leaves, the game forces him to return back to the bar, and he will phase through the basement door as he does so.

Following the same logic as before, I run next to the inaccessible door and ''observe' it. Then when Thomas phases through the door and York, I close the 'observe' text box in the hopes that Thomas' body would suddenly push York through the doorway. But sadly, York always got pushed to the side instead of forward through the door.

3:27 - There's quite a limited time frame in which to do this, but you can talk to Thomas through the wall to sightly slow down his approach. But... well... the outcome was still the same.

In conclusion, there's a chance you just can't use NPC collision to go through walls in this game... Or maybe this is just a really hard spot for doing it. It's hard to say. You do objectively go deeper into the wall than normal when you're in a tight space against an NPC, but this seems difficult to utilize for wallclips for some reason.

4:01 - In the end, it was peek break-out once again that made entering the basement early possible. The last window in the fenced alleyway, when used as a portal via the peek break-out, leaves York out of bounds as he goes through the loading zone. There's a decent amount of floor out of bounds, so you can run around the bar's entrance and enter the basement from there.

Sadly, entering the basement in these earlier chapters doesn't seem useful. There are no triggers or other events to be found. You can operate the record player, and it also has a buggy 'observe' message saying something about playing darts. But that's about it... you're now an invisible ghost stuck inside the bar's sex dungeon forever. Well, I guess there are worse fates...
