Old faithful is a ,,stress-DoT“ team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Grave robber (dodge trinket + stress trinket) - stress dealer
2nd: Hellion (damage trinket + accuracy trinket) - deathblow dealer
3rd: Highwayman (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
4th: Antiquarian (Tears of the Lost + dodge trinket) - stress dealer
PROS:
1) Great damage output
2) Great stress output
3) Great DoT output
4) 3 deathblowers
5) Disruption isn’t a menace
CONS:
1) Stress is a menace
2) Marks are a menace
3) Stuns are a menace
Old faithful is an odd stress team with great strength of DoT and pure damage. All characters can make AoE damage, next you have 3 deathblowers and 2 (self)healers. Unfortunately this team is weak against mark and stress teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „double finisher“, „mix damage + DoT“, „the finishers“ and „full stress“. I tried both variantions of Hellion (damager / stresser), the damage variantion is better choice, Highwayman (bandit / gunslinger), bandit version is much more optimal and Grave robber (pure damage / DoT stresser), both variantions are good.
My advice: Start with Highwayman for opening the riposte, next use Hellion for dealing some damage, then Grave robber for moving to the backline and lastly spam regeneration with Antiquarian.
About score: One match against veteran player with stress team. Our fight was about 8 minutes long and I was on winning side (my team was in good condition, his team have only Antiquarian and Abomination). After my turn, there was a desync, nobody couldn’t respond.
About team: First things first, I really tried to find the original setup, but I was unsuccessful. So I had to improvise. A Grave robber in frontline is very unusual, it can confuse opponent (if he have a mark team). You can make a pressure to the opponent, but the team is very fragile. It’s needed to spam regeneration with your Antiquarian, otherwise you will lose the match. I lost 3 matches, 2 against darkest players - one with a really strange mark team and one with stress team. The last defeat was against appentice player with stress team. Honestly the playing was fun and I’m glad for facing harder opponents, even with defeats. Not a bad team, but neither good. So… mid rate.
