Carousel team is a ,,damage-stress“ team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Abomination (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
2nd: Crusader (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
3rd: Musketeer (Tincture of Iodine + damage trinket) - damage dealer
4th: Arbalest (damage trinket + healing trinket) - damage dealer
PROS:
1) Mark synergy (Musketeer + Arbalest)
2) Great damage output
3) Great stress output
4) Great healing potential
5) 3 disruptors
6) 2 stunners
7) 2 deathblowers
CONS:
1) Stress is a menace
2) DoT is a menace
3) Disruption is a menace
Carousel team is a damage team, that combines also stress and little bit of DoT. All characters can make AoE damage and all of them are (self)healers. Next you have 3 disruptors, 2 stunners, 2 deathblowers (if we count Arbalest’s „Sniper shot“ and Musketeer’s „Aimed shot“ on marked character) and not-so-great mark synergy. Unfortunately this team is HIGHLY vulnerable against stress teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „virtue team“, „full stress“, „original setup“ and „mark team“. I tried both variantions of Abomination (melee beast / DoT puker), the melee beast is MUST HAVE.
My advice: Start with Abomination for disruption, next use Crusader for stunning someone, then Musketeer for dealing some damage / stressing someone and lastly Arbalest for potential clearing stuns/debuffs.
I was looking long time for this team. In past I chat with owner about setup for the team and he told me to prepare myself, the team isn’t great. Well, he didn’t lied. Sure, now you can tell „Crusader & Abomination combo is powerful, with them you cannot lose.“, but… hehe, YOU WILL LOSE. Why? It’s simple, you cannot make a pressure for opponent. And if you make some pressure, it will take a time to make it. How do you suppose to create it? Via „mark synergy“? Only Musketeer is worth for mark skill, but it can be cleared. Stuns? Against dodge teams you will always miss. Stress strategies? If opponent have at least one disruptor, say „bye bye“ to your strategy.
I struggled with this comp very long time… Even obvious tactics didn’t worked, because of RNGsus and players. I lost 4x - once against apprentice player with DoT team, 2x against darkest players with stress teams and lastly against novice player with stress team. Everytime when I eliminated one opponent’s character, I lost the match, no matter on (dis)advantages.
I suppose the gimmick of the team should be in „stable rotating positions“ between backline and frontline, but that doesn‘t work. Probably the best strategy is „full stress“… PROBABLY.
I’m kinda dissapointed, playing this was quite painful and stressing. I was unable to defeat harder opponents, but I think, there’s a little chance to make it. Still, I don’t recommend this team.
