This is John McAlister who only lives a mile from where my grandmother grew up in Cushendall at the Dobbs estate just over the hill. John once worked at the neighbouring Drumnasole House estate of the landed Turnly family near Redbay. He has some happy and sad memories of that time and is working the land now in his retirement with his trusty 1960's Massey Ferguson 35 classic. The nearby allotments provide a meeting point for the local retired folk and it seems to be a busy spot by all accounts.
