Irelandscapes | Arklow Shipping Ireland - (Irish Coastal Ship Documentary with Scenery) @Irelandscapes | Uploaded May 2022 | Updated October 2024, 13 minutes ago.
An interview with David Elliott - Marine Superintendent for Arklow Shipping, an Irish company with 19 ships of varying sizes plying European and international waters since the late 1960's. These 'glowing green' hulled ships are a familiar site on the East Coast of Ireland and N Ireland, often spotted in Belfast, Dublin and Drogheda ports. This film was an opportunity to find out more about these spotless vessels, their crews, size, cargo and routes, allowing us to understand the nature of this enduring business around the island.
