The Crusader 60 is a 0.6 cubic inch (10cc) model aircraft engine designed by George Genevro, a prolific and highly regarded designer and builder of model aircraft engines. It was described in a series of build articles in the "Home Shop Machinist" magazine in 2005.
The engine can be made from flat bar and round stock and requires no castings. It is similar to the Titan 60 engine that I built in this playlist youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbPzkHRZCQB8uBSFsim70U9hKNhcpp7Xk
In this episode I machine the connecting rod from some 6061 aluminium. I also outline a side project I carried out on my Sieg X3 CNC mill.
