The Titan is a .60 cubic inch or nearly 10cc model aircraft glow plug engine designed for methanol based fuel. The kit comprises several aluminium castings and bar stock. It was designed as a final year project for engineering students and was put together by George Genevro, a professor of Industrial Technology and supplied to me by Roger Taylor from California USA. Join me in a journey to machine this engine. In this first episode I detail the components of the kit and make a start on machining the crankshaft from a single piece of 1018 steel bar stock.
