In this video I spend several hours setting up to drill a single hole in the crankshaft and a single hole in the crankcase. The hole in the crankshaft forms a simple rotary valve to admit fuel and air into the crankcase and it must line up accurately with the inclined hole in the venturi. Several jigs and tools were required to ensure accuracy of the position of that hole.
The second hole forms the bore for the spraybar and it must be positioned exactly on the centre line of the venturi hole in two planes. Spoiler alert....it was a success!
