For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona crochet cotton colors (162) Black Coffee, (254) Moon Rock, ((105) Bridal White and (110) Black. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook, I use a size or 2 smaller for appliques than I would normally use for the weight yarn. Scissors. Darning needle to weave in ends. Sewing thread and needle to stitch the teddy bear together.
The finished size will be 10.5cm wide x 14cm high (4” wide x 5.5” high) for the larger teddy bear, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the teddy bear in Catona will be 8cm wide x 11cm high (3” wide x 4.25” high). The medium teddy bear will be 6.5cm wide x 9cm high (2.5” wide x 3.5” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small teddy bear will be 5cm wide x 7cm high (2” wide x 2.75” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
