In my crochet tutorial today I’ll be showing you how to make this crochet wolf applique.

If you would like to view the crochet pattern for free, it’s on my website at kerriscrochet.com/crochet-wolf-pattern or you can download it from Ravelry at ravelry.com/patterns/library/wolf-24 for $1 and LoveCrafts at lovecrafts.com/en-gb/p/wolf-crochet-pattern-by-kerris-crochet

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colours (393) Charcoal, (172) Light Silver, (106) Snow White and (110) Black. Crochet hooks, I used a 2.5mm hook for the main parts and a 2.25mm hook for neatening. A darning needle to weave in ends. A pair of scissors. White, black, dark grey and light grey thread and needle to stitch the wolf together and embroider on markings.

The finished size will be 13cm wide x 18cm high (5” wide x 7” high) for the larger wolf, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the wolf in Catona will be 11cm wide x 13cm high (4.25” wide x 5” high). The medium wolf will be 10cm wide x 10.5cm high (4” wide x 4.25” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small wolf will be 6.5cm wide x 8cm high (2.5” wide x 3.25” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
