Hey everyone! Day 5 of our Knit-A-Thon, I will be talking about the different kinds of crochet hooks and how I feel about each kind. I personally like aluminum hooks but I am starting to like the wooden one I have. Let me know which ones you prefer in the comments below.

Items: Boye Aluminum Double Pointed Needles size 7 (4.5mm) Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in Black, White & Gold Vannas Choice Yarn in Barley Fiber Fill Sewing Needle Instructions: Cast on 6 sts (divided evenly on 3 of your double pointed needles) Row 1: Knit Row 2: *Kf&b; rep from * - 12 sts All alternating rows, plain knit Row 4: *K2, YO; rep from * around - 18 sts Row 6: *K3, YO; rep from * around Row 8: *K4, YO; rep from * around Row 10: *K5, YO; rep from * around Row 12: *K6, YO; rep from * around - 42 sts Body: Continue in stockinette stitch (knit every row) until you reach 2 shorter then you want your crow to be. 4.5 for the body height Decrease: *K2, (K2tog, K1) rep to end of needle; rep from * on each needle - 30 sts Head: Continue in stockinette for 3. Beak: With gold yarn Cast on 2 sts Row 1: Purl Row 2: Kf&b, K to end, Kf&b Repeat Rows 1 & 2 until you have * sts. Bind off. Sew on beak. Add eyes. TIP: You can use black buttons for his eyes. Hat: With Brown yarn. Cast on 42 sts. Work half an inch of a brim for your crows hat (about 4 rows.) Decrease: *K2, (K2tog, K1) work 4 times total; rep from * - 30 sts Knit your crow stitches and your brim stitches together. Transfering your hat stitches over to your main needle. (watch video for visuals) Stuff the crows body with fiber fill, to your liking. Work in stockinette, with your hat yarn, 1 (about 7 ish rows.) Hat Decreases: Row 1: *K1, K2tog, K to last 3 sts, SSK, K1; rep from * on each needle. Row 2: Knit Repeat Rows 1 & 2; 3 times. Next Row: K2tog all around. Finish off. Wings: CO 2 sts Row 1: Kf&b, K to end, Kf&b Row 2: Knit Repeat Rows 1 & 2 until 12 sts. Bind off.$
