On 4/28/24 in Palm Beach County, FL Florida fish and wildlife officers were on patrol in a marked vessel in Lake Boca, Boca Raton, Florida working Boca Bash. While on patrol a red jet ski was seen with two people on board. One of the occupants on board was not wearing a life jacket. Emergency lights were activated and stopped the vessel. Upon stopping the vessel, the operator, hit the accelerator and turned the vessel sharply to the point it capsized. I then pulled up to the vessel to make sure all occupants were ok. She was unable to get back on to the vessel so we had to pull her on to my vessel to
get her out of the channel. I instructed the other occupant to dock the jet ski at the nearest docking area. Post arrest she continued to be belligerent, verbally abusive, and aggressive toward any officer in her presence, to include profanities and insults. Her speech continued to sound slurred. She was asked to submit to a lawful test of her breath for the purpose of determining her alcohol content. She said yes. While attempting to take the test she became very emotional shouting profanities and insults at other officers and refused to take the test.
She was transported to the Palm Beach County Jail, Main Detention Center by Boca Raton Police Department.

F.S. 327.35(1)(a) – BUI normal faculties impaired
F.S. 327.35215 – Refusal to provide breath sample (infraction)
