The UNESCO World Heritage site of the Copper Mining Area of Falun is a historic copper-mining area in central Sweden. The mine here is one of the world's most prolific copper mines, and also home to one of the world's oldest corporations. Copper from here was exported all across Europe and later the world, and the ore from the mines is used to create the distinct Falun Red paint that almost every building in Scandinavia is painted in!
