This is my first SMM2 video and I'm showing my second level, it took me 3 minutes to beat. As you can see, I'm still a terrible maker and player. I don't know if I should make a clear video for my first level... It's bad. I do plan to keep that ending screen though. For some reason I really like when youtubers have some ending thing like that, and while I don't really consider myself a "youtuber", I still wanted to have my own.
Rant time. I dislike a lot of things from this game. Story mode is boring, editor is annoying to use. Spike and muncher hitboxes have been changed significantly, to the point that trump jumps are nearly impossible, and complete luck unless we find new tech. Most kaizo tricks have a different timing, which is awkward. And worst of all, the lack of editor for downloaded levels... This is a big issue for me, I don't really feel as motivated to play hard levels if I'm unable to practice them to avoid wasting too much time. And without it, I really don't know what I plan to do with the game. Sure, I will play a lot of endless but that's about it, sadly. Multiplayer doesn't really appeal to me.
So what are some positive things I can say about this game?
... I like the music and new mechanics of the night themes. :p
And some of the new items are cool, I guess.

The final level to my Pokémon Trainer Battle series, in total theres 7 of them, 4 of which I uploaded on February 27 to celebrate Pokémon Day. I posted my clear videos to all of them this week, feels weird considering its been over a year and a half since the last time I uploaded more than once in the same week. I mentioned this before but at first my plan was to create Ashs team from the current season of the Pokémon anime, because (spoiler alert, again) he has a Gengar and a Dragonite. ShyGuy suggested Green Battle, which I said no to, but then reconsidered when I noticed she had a Gengar and a Blastoise, which I could replace with Dragonite, because I already included Blastoise in Red Battle and I dont want to have repeats.
Including Dragonite at the end of a battle level was a nice way to test how much Ive improved in the last 2 years. Back when the original Dragonite level was uploaded (at the end of 2018), it took me over 3 hours to clear, although I was very unlucky, tired and hungry at the time, if I had been at full health it would have taken less than half an hour. Another reason why I wanted to include Dragonite was because someone who heard how long Dragonite took me jokingly said that I should make Lance Battle after I uploaded Red Battle, because in the gen 2 games he has 3 Dragonite. Obviously I didnt even consider it but on the back of my mind I was like would I be able to clear a battle level if Dragonite was in it?, Im glad I finally have an answer to that question.
I know I called this my final trainer battle level earlier, but I actually made it and clear checked it before Blaine, Clair and Giovanni. Its just the last one to get its clear video, because its probably the hardest out of all my new ones. Its easier than Red and Blue, but I still expected the number of deaths at the second half to reach triple digits, somehow that didnt happen though, I actually had just under 50 of those, 49. I only had 6 deaths at Dragonite, so I was proud of that, much better than my 15 deaths at Tyranitar and my 64 deaths at Mewtwo, which were the final Pokémon in Blue Battle and Red Battle respectively. I wasnt proud of dying for the first time ever to the 1 frame jump at the end of one of these though. It was so dumb because, somehow, even while being three days into the grind, I didnt even consider practicing that once. Going back and forth between SMM1 and SMM2 messes up my muscle memory even for this. The moment I opened that last key door I was like Oh, I havent done this trick in 2 months and obviously that was a bad idea... Well, at least it was only one death there.
Here are the changes I had to do to each section to make up for the lack of key coins:
In Clefable I removed the ground below the L to force going over it. I put a pow block on the first E and a p-switch on the A.
Gengar is basically the same, except I removed the cheese no one noticed in 2 years, which even I didnt know about, funny how I keep learning new things about these levels even now. But I also nerfed one jump, I see Gengar and Alakazam as counterparts, and both of them have a pretty similar difficulty, so I thought it made sense to nerf one jump in Greens Gengar since I also nerfed one jump in Blues Alakazam.
On Victreebel I removed the ground below the V and the last E to force the player to go inside and over the letters.
On Ninetales I removed the coin in the second N because getting it was free, so theres no reason to have it. I also put pow blocks in both Es.
In Kangaskhan I put a muncher stack below the second A to force going over it and a p-switch you need to press inside the G. I couldnt find a replacement for the coin between the S and the the second K, so that jump is missing, but at least the G was kinda buffed by including that p-switch, which killed me in some embarassing ways, so that probably makes up for it.
In Dragonite I put the first coin inside the R, and question block below it... Im not sure why, I think I had a different setup, but then changed another setup earlier in the level to something more efficient and forgot to change back the R in Dragonite. How am I only now noticing this? Well, the original setup never killed me anyway, and it never will, so I guess it doesnt matter. The only other change to Dragonite was that I added a p-switch in the A.
So I mentioned uploading another level quite a few times in this game, one that I also made back in 2019, and Ive already clear checked it too, but Ill wait until the end of the month to post it. That will truly be my final SMM1 level. Its sad to know theyll be shutting down uploads soon. Ill have to mention it again after posting my final level. Its not Yellow Battle though, its true I havent included most of her Pokémon in battle levels, but I dont know much about the Pokémon Adventures manga, and it would be too easy anyway.

Another CLM. This one has survival 10 rooms. It was hard to do all 10 in one run, but eventually I did it. I actually never managed to get more than like 5 coins until this attempt which also ended up being the clear. I was also constantly changing the order in which I did the rooms so I actually forgot which rooms I had done and which I didnt when I was at 7 coins, so I just had to guess, luckily I guessed right all 3 times. I can definitely see why no one had beaten this, its long, requires quite a bit of muscle memory and its probably very easy to fail due to nerves when you have many coins. But fun level anyway.

A long precision level. The final section felt like it never ended, its basically just as long as the first two sections combined, and it was also a bit confusing to figure out where to go sometimes. For some reason I decided to do it try beating the level without using the checkpoints, and that a while. I like how the last part is easier if you manage to get there in one go, I dont think many people will do that though. I kinda wish this level was on a different theme though, or that it at least had different music, or even no music at all would be better. SMB1 castle theme is the worst music in the game, and the level is long, so you have to hear it a lot. The theme itself looks okay and it makes spikes easier to see, so I understand why people use it so much.

Cool kaizo level. I think the last trick was the only really hard part of the level for me. Though I also had trouble with the trick at 0:32 and lining up the shell jump right after. The rest of the level wasnt free, but I was fairly consistent at it. I had 35 nais... Going into this level, I thought I was only going to have a few, mostly from failing the p-switch spin jump because I usually have trouble with p-switch spin jumps, but no, only 3 of those nais were to that. Instead most of my nais were because either I dropped the bomb too early or the bomb and the shell would collide, killing each other. It was ridiculous how often the latter happened to me, even when practicing. Thankfully, when I finally landed on the bomb I didnt fail the shell drop.

5 Precision Crew levels from this creators super world.
1-★ Haunted Artillery (0:00)
When I came across this level I noticed it was way harder than the 3 other levels I had played from world 1 so far. It took 3 game overs to make me realize it was an optional level, so I finished world 1 and beat it outside of the super world. Then I checked DrHazars profile and noticed he had 4 other levels with a star on the name, so assuming they would be around the same difficulty as this one I decided to make a video. I had to beat this first level a second time to record it but I made sure to pause before touching the goal and edited the ending in the video to avoid inflating the clear rate. Not much else to say about the level, just that jumps are tighter than they seem.
2-★ Cold-blooded Demon (1:07)
Ive always thought the goomba mask looked pretty dumb but the level would be way harder without it, so I didnt mind it. The level is pretty cool. I didnt die on the last room, even in practice, so maybe it was just a really easy room.
3-★ Duality (2:34)
This one only took a few attempts, I guess I got lucky. I only died once on the second half, and not much else to say about this one, I just like how it looks.
4-★ The 100 Jumps Hall (3:45)
I hope you like the coin sound. At first I wanted to beat this without ever going into the practice doors, but clearly that was a dumb idea since the level is so long. So instead I just gave myself a limit on how many times I could use them, but it barely mattered since a lot of the jumps were so easy. My farthest death was at coin 43.
5-★ Icarus Flight (6:02)
The final level, I had to watch the clear video because I had no idea what to do in some parts. I dont know how cape works. After watching his clear I went to the practice doors immediately, and most of the tricks werent too hard to learn. I just couldnt get consistent at the second flight, but since I one shot the last trick in practice I got overconfident and went straight to attempts, so I had 5 deaths at the end.

Cool P-Switch jump level. Was a little hard to do blind but I enjoyed it. It was nice that there were a lot of p-switches, so I could keep playing the level differently each attempt or use an extra one if I messed up my movement. Had one death at the end cause I couldnt see the thwomp. Yeah, theres an arrow but it probably should have been a little higher. Still, not a bad level.

Very janky beginning. Not much else to say.
Third level (2:15)
Even jankier than the second one from beginning to end, the dumbest part is the second tall bomb ladder in which you have to hit a bomb that falls from offscreen, which felt like luck. I then had like 3 deaths on the next bomb ladder, but the level felt good to clear at least.

Generation 1 of the Poké-Precision series is done! Unbelievable. I had so much fun with this series, I am very happy with the results and with how fast we finished it. First of all, huge thanks to Katz for helping me make this. Also many thanks to Fritzef who was the first person, other than me, to clear all of the levels in the series, he even gave us a lot of stars with more than just his main account. And speaking of stars, someone else gave us a ton of them on christmas, they literally gave us enough to reach the upload slots we needed, so Im sure it had to be a viewer, and to whoever it was, if youre reading this description, thank you, that was an awesome christmas gift, and because of you, we were able to finish the series just before 2019. I still cant believe how fast we did this, its a crazy accomplishment.
The levels in this final batch are not easy, period. I dont know how to even describe how difficult they are, specially the legendaries. It got to a point where I can say Id be very impressed if more than like 5 people were able to clear all 152 levels. (Not counting Katz and myself). We set the bar too high even all the way back in the first batch, Charizard and Blastoise were really difficult compared to the other 18 levels on it. And then Nidoking and Nidoqueen in the second batch were even harder than those. The levels continued to get more difficult and thats why the legendaries turned out to be insane.
Fritzef, Katz and I all agreed that Articuno was the hardest of the three legendary birds. But for some reason Dragonite took me longer than all the other levels, I was playing really bad yesterday, like it was probably my worst performance in Mario Maker in all of 2018, but thankfully after eating some pizza, it was all fixed. Sounds weird? I guess, and it may just be a placebo effect, but I really believe food powers me up sometimes... Im getting too offtopic now. :p
Anyway, sorry for MissingNo... I guess. I wanted to make it dumb, which is why I added a midair, midairs are dumb. I actually beat the level 4 times, and never had a nai, which was cool. Mews original version was actually harder than Mewtwos original version, and even if it doesnt seem like it, we nerfed these two levels a lot. But theyre still really hard. Mewtwo has a 0.10% clear rate at the time that Im writing this, which is a bit surprising for one of these levels. Fun fact, the last 4 levels, (Dragonite, Mewtwo, Mew and MissingNo.), were uploaded a day after the 12 that came before them, because we needed a small break from the hard levels.
Small details in these levels include really big letters and the lack of music in Snorlax, the use of annoying effects in MissingNo., speed strats in Omanyte, Kabuto, Aerodactyl, Dratini and Dragonair, (which I perform in this video), epic pixel arts, etc. This final batch may be short, but I believe its also the best one in the series. Possibly because I just like really hard levels a lot.
But yeah, this is the end of the series, and coincidentally it came out at the end of the year. It is pretty satisfying to be done with the series before the end of the year, yes, were ending both this series and the year with a bang. I even decided to add a small montage-ish at the end, showing all the levels with their level IDs. The music is the Super Smash Bros. Brawl remix of the main Pokémon theme.
Finally Id like to say thank you. Both the people who liked this series and the people who hated it, thank you. Seeing each side react to the levels, either with excitement or disgust; just motivated me even more to keep going with it. Even if people dont watch or care, we wanted to prove it was possible to make 150+ unique word precision levels, and I we succeeded. Cant wait to start making the levels for gen 2. Goodbye, 2018. Thats all I had to say.

Clear checking a half old, half new level today. Half old because the main world kind of remakes one of my most underlooked Mario Maker 1 levels, and half new because the subworld is completely new. This new version is much harder, but I think its also a lot cooler. The name of this new version of the level is Grand Blue, which is the name of one of my favorite comedy anime, well, at least season 1 is. After finishing the clear check I will continue advancing my super expert run.
