In this webinar we present our approach of reducing the CO2 footprint in climate adaptation and urban development projects. We discuss project optimization and carbon reduction using a tool developed by WSP in Denmark called "The Circle of Actions". The tool is used in close collaboration with the project stakeholders.

We explore a case study in Denmark where the tool has allowed the client to better understand the importance of sustainability and what actions and measures can be taken to lower the CO2 footprint.

$The Reuse of Construction and Demolition Waste When we build new buildings and tear down existing buildings we use a large fraction of the global resources, and at the same time we produce a lot of waste and CO₂-emissions. In Denmark, these activities generate approximately 40% of the national amount of waste, use 40% of resources and emit 20% of our CO₂-emission. To lower the figures WSP is working on reusing of construction and demolition waste as part of a circular supply chain. The webinar gives an overview of how we target reuse of construction demolition waste (CDW) in Denmark on a general basis. The presenter illustrates how we (WSP) work to secure as much reuse as possible by presenting the core services in that relation.
