Mario's Journal:
Day 26
Lakilester led us straight to the Puff Puff Machine. We beat up the magikoopa who made it and he fled with a few lakitus. With the machine completely destroyed, the clouds cleared up in minutes and the sun rose again. It was beautiful. All of the flowers were cheering!
Lakilester felt great helping the flowers. He is positive he wants to join us for the rest of the adventure. Sushie asked Lakilester if he knew anything else about Bowser's plans. Sadly, he didn't. He said that he only recently joined Huff N. Puff. He doesn't know about the next Star Spirit or about any of Bowser's recent plans. It's ok. He helped us find the Puff Puff Machine and that counts for something.
Anyway, I planted the magic bean near the Wise Wisterwood and a beanstalk grew so tall it passed through the clouds above. We climbed to the top. Lakilester knew the way through Cloudy Climb. He led us straight to Huff N. Puff. Huff N. Puff was not happy that Lakilester betrayed him.
Huff N. Puff blew a strong wind at us all. Everyone miraculously managed to stay on the clouds. When I landed a few hits on the monster, he split into ruff puffs. He would absorb the ruff puffs after we hit him a few more times. Lakilester had an idea. He told us to keep hitting Huff N. Puff and he'd handle the ruff puffs. It worked. He threw a barrage of spinies that took out any of the ruff puffs that appeared. Huff N. Puff was about to do a massive electric attack when Lakilester threw Bombette and she completely destroyed Huff N. Puff with one great explosion.
With the monster gone, the Star Spirit appeared. His name is Klevar. Klevar was grateful for the rescue and gave me some of his power. He hopes it'll help me find the last Star Spirit. Klevar ascended back to Star Haven.
We went back to Toad Town. Still no word from Twink. I'm starting to worry about him and Peach. If we don't hear from Twink tomorrow, we'll stop at Merlon's to find out where to go next.
