The Crystal Palace Dinosaurs in London are getting a makeover.

The careful removal of excess paint and defective mortaring work will allow for repairs to be carried out.

The dinosaur sculptures date from the 1850s and were one of several attractions built around the no longer surviving Crystal Palace.

We've been providing conservation advice on the Crystal Palace dinosaurs, which is now guiding their restoration as part of a park-wide regeneration plan being co-delivered by @lbbromley and the @crystalpalaceparktrust, with the support of partners including @heritagefunduk.
