Pat O'Brien had an impressive movie career, and guest starred in tv shows like 'Arrest and Trial'. But his only starring role on television was in the 1960 sitcom 'Harrigan and Son'. O'Brien and Roger Perry played father-and-son lawyers with their own practice. The show only lasted a single season, but I'm old enough to remember its influence on my legal career. So on this St Patrick's Day help yourself to some Baileys and enjoy the theme: 'Harrigan', composed by George M Cohan in 1908, sung by James Cagney (as Cohan) in 1942's 'Yankee Doodle Dandy', and rendered in the tv show credits by O'Brian and Perry.
