Yes, we should obey government. No, sometimes we should not obey government.

God has set up government as His institution to care for civil matters. Therefore, we should obey government for two reasons:

1. It is commanded by God (Romans 13)
2. It demonstrates that we are not rebellious (I Peter 2)

However, the time may come when we cannot obey.

Here is a simple rule of thumb: We should submit to government unless the laws of government conflict with the laws of God.
