Does the Bible endorse genocide, rape, and slavery?
We are going "beyond the meme" to look at some superficial memes that are supposed to convey a truth to see how accurate they really are.
Some think that the Bible is inconsistent and therefore fallible because it condemns eating lobster, yet condones genocide, rape, and slavery.
This is very far from the truth. God commanded the Israelites to eradicate the Canaanites because of their sin. Rape is not condoned when we look deeper, and the (more favorable) slavery in the Bible is different than what we think of today.
