This video has been digitised from a reel of Standard 8 film, I do not know anything about the film-maker. The film has a thin magnetic strip indication a soundtrack but because I do not possess a Standard 8 sound projector, they are quite rare, this upload is silent.
The video shows scenes from the first and possibly the last City of London Children’s Cavalcade in 1968. Fifteen hundred children took part. The floats were constructed by the children. It was filmed from Lombard Street near Bank station.
