Chrono Trigger: Enhansa Edition is a hack by inuksuk that rebalances things such as characters, equipment, techs, and so on to provide a harder challenge overall.
To get the patch, you'll need to join the NGPlus discord. A link to join it is located here:

From there, locate the Enhansa Edition channel under the mods tab where you can download the patch from the pinned messages.
Version being played: 0.4.4
Time to get cracking on some sidequests, but first, there's a quick detour to 65m BC to have a chat with that trader that took item drops from the era. He only has one item up for sale, but it's very good, the Ruby Armor. Solid defense and reduces fire damage by 80%. You just need 10 each of petals, fangs, horns, and feathers for each one you want
Next, head to the Laruba Ruins to the northwest. There's a random Nu here that'll offer to change the name of whomever is in the lead of the party. You don't need to do any name changing, but speaking to him once will reward you with a Silver Rock. Equipped on Frog, Robo, or Ayla, this'll allow to the trio to do the Spin Strike triple tech.
Now then, the first sidequest that'll be tackled is located in 600 AD. Warp there with the Epoch, then head east past the Black Omen. You'll notice an island with a totem of sorts smack dab in the middle of a forest. This is Ozzie's Fort.
Right at the entrance, the monster of the hour shows his face. If you happen to have Magus in your team, you'll get a bit of extra dialogue here before Ozzie retreats further into his fort. He even brings back old favorites like...Super Slash & Flea Plus.
Once both of them get beat up in separate battles, you'll find Ozzie attempting what might be an even dumber trap attempt than his switch shenanigans while encased in ice. It's great there's a chest and all, but maybe don't have a painfully obvious guillotine above it.
If you head towards the next room, an imp comes in and charges head first to the treasure and gets owned by the guillotine. Ozzie retreats and you can claim the treasure he was offering, a Full Ether.
Before leaving the room, head south of the staircase leading onwards. There's a hidden path in the wall leading to three treasure chests, all with good stuff inside. There's a matching Gloom Helm & Gloom Cape with a stylish Doom Sickle to go along with it.
The Gloom Helm is a Vigil Hat in disguise, but with a very nice +1 speed attached to it. The Gloom Cape is an armor with +5 magic defense which is greatly appreciated, especially when magic defense scores for the team are quite a bit lower at this point compared to vanilla.
Finally, the Doom Sickle is a weapon that has a bit of an odd damage formula. It does more damage the higher the last digit of the wearer's hp is.
...Oh yes, Robo can equip ALL of the above mentioned gear!
Back to that staircase, have everyone equip a Ruby Armor (or even that Red Mail if you want) and heal up before ascending the stairs. Ozzie, Slash, and Flea await at the top and they FINALLY have a good plan...attack as a team!
All things considered, Ruby Armors make this trio insanely easy to manage. The worst that can happen is Slash's normal attack that does around 200 damage or, if you feel like attacking Ozzie first, an AoE counter attack that could really sting.
Me though? I decide to beat up Flea. There's still a counter involved, but not only is it single target, it's fire elemental, making the damage the counter attack that's known as Bad Impulse tickle at best with those Ruby Armors. The fight's basically over when one of the three falls because there's not enough damage between two of them to drop any one person.
Supposedly you can get the drops you'd normally be able to steal here (Slasher 2, Ozzie Pants, Flea Vest), but they never dropped for me sadly.
After the fight, Ozzie runs away as per usual. Grab the Reason Cap & Dash Ring from the chests, then follow Ozzie to the north where he tries the same trick that owned him in Magus's Castle where there's switches to hit while he's encased in ice.
The difference here? He actually thought this through and had the first switch be a trap door that opens under the party, sending them into a bed of spikes and...oh wait it literally just sent them back unharmed to the last room.
To mock Ozzie's braindead fail plan, when the team goes back up to confront him once again, a random cat from nowhere comes in and hits a switch...the one that opens up a trap door RIGHT under Ozzie...and he's not encased in ice this time.
Before this video ends, I take a quick trip to 1000 AD's Medina Village. The music's changed and there's a bit of new dialogue, but the biggest change is that the shop in the area isn't run by a silly jerk. Almost the same stuff as before, but now there's a 20% discount on the items sold here. Best to stock up on your Full Tonics here.
More next time!
