Chrono Trigger: Enhansa Edition is a hack by inuksuk that rebalances things such as characters, equipment, techs, and so on to provide a harder challenge overall.
To get the patch, you'll need to join the NGPlus discord. A link to join it is located here:

From there, locate the Enhansa Edition channel under the mods tab where you can download the patch from the pinned messages.

Back at Truce Canyon, a few of the enemies saw a minor upgrade. Nothing worth mentioning since I'm running from anything that wants to pick a fight.
When the team arrives back where Crono entered this era, a portal sits in the middle. Lucca pulls something out of her bag of a tricks...a Gate Key as she puts it. With this, it activates said portal, allowing them to travel to this exact spot, but in another era.
Marle does bring up a valid point though. Who created this time warp? Lucca theorizes one of two possibilities...either the Telepod had something to do with it...or someone made it. No use dwelling on it right now so back to 1000AD the team goes.
Back in the present era, Lucca runs off since she has some work to do, leaving Crono to escort Marle back to Guardia Castle. All should be well, right? Nope!
Upon reaching the castle, the duo gets swarmed by guards. The chancellor of this era evidently turned into a real jerk compared to the one from 600AD because he decides to claim that Crono abducted Marle and ran off with her. Congrats, Crono gets the quickest timeskip to a trial ever!
There's not much to mention about this trial, but it is possible to swing the vote in your favor with some choices that could be made up to this point. Things like checking in on Marle after bumping into her for the first time at the fair and answering some questions correctly for example.
Regardless if you get a guilty or not guilty verdict, the end result is the same...Crono gets taken to prison to be executed in a few days. Yes, the chancellor's a real jerk if you get a not guilty verdict cause he really wants Crono dead.
