The Choo Choo Barn, located in Strasburg, Pennsylvania, features a gigantic family-run model train layout (1,700 square feet) that you have to see to believe! It's officially been running since 1961 and is also known as Traintown, U.S.A. What's amazing is how many moving parts besides the many trains are showcased here. You have moving animals, people, a circus, amusement rides, cars, trucks, emergency vehicles, a cable car, cranes and more. And you can watch day turn into night into day again.

Choo Choo Barn is less than a mile from the Strasburg Rail Road and the Railroad Musem of Pennsylvania. Aside from all the trains going around, there are several Amish scenes, as we are in Lancaster County, PA. This model train layout is great for kids of all ages, whether you're 8 or 80!
