Wat Arun (Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan), is known as the Temple of Dawn, and is one of Bangkok's most iconic Buddhist temples. It's distinctive, recognizable, and symbolic Khmer style tower or prang, was built in the early 19th century, and it stands out on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. The central prang is surrounded by four satellite prang and four pavilions. Many Thai people dress up in traditional Thai clothing when visiting Wat Arun, which is definitely worth a visit.
