One a sunny Monday afternoon, this Lamborghini was zooming down a public road, in the city of Kunming in southern China.
Pretty cool right? Except that it was speeding down the road at 125 mph! In a 30 mph zone. So, as you guessed, bad things happen when you drive at 4 times the speed limit..in any country.
Well, you probably guessed something bad happened - the Lamborghini crashed into an SUV before skidding into an electric scooter. The rider of the scooter was killed instantly. I'm surprised the two passengers in the other SUV survived the crash, as did the lamborghini driver.
Wait, it gets' worse, the driver of the exotic sports car didn't even own the car. It was the owners mechanic and he was "test driving" the car. AKA "Woho! I get to fix a lambo, but first let's take it out for a joy ride".
Judging by the photos, the Lamborghini caused quiet a wreck.
I'm sure we have enough sports car owners on the road who already commit reckless acts of driving, we don't need their mechanics or other people to add to that equation. Why would anyone do something like this? Well maybe because since about age 8, guys have had a fascination with going fast, cars, and...going faster! So naturally, if someone has the chance to get their hands on a once-in-a-life-time car, their decision making could be impaired.
Next time, the mechanic should just taken the car to a track where no one else could get hurt...beside himself.
