Chinese Drones No Ban in US June 6, 2025

President Trump signed several Executive Orders on June 6, 2025 and two of these orders were specifically directed on drones in the U.S. These orders are part of a broader set of actions to strengthen American leadership in drone technology and enhance the security of national airspace. The good news for RC drone pilots is there is no mention at all of a ban on Chinese drones in the U.S.
The first Executive Order is "Unleashing American Drone Dominance" and sets forth an agenda to expand the United States' leadership in unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). The second Executive Order is "Restoring American Airspace Sovereignty" and focuses on safeguarding the nation's airspace from the changing drone related threats.
The Chinese drone manufacturer DJI was the concern of many RC pilots, as DJI sells 70% of all drones offered globally in 70 countries. But, there is no mention of DJI in these orders. Also, DJI is taking actions on its own to certify to the US government that their drones are not a security concern.
