On 26 May 1986, ITN cameraman Ted Henley filmed Soviet citizens queueing to visit Lenin’s Mausoleum in Red Square, Moscow. Among those captured by Henley were Soviet and Warsaw Pact military officers, schoolchildren, and members of the Soviet Union’s youth leagues, the Little Octobrists and the Young Pioneers. Never broadcast at the time, Henley’s footage was digitised by the ITN Archive team in October 2025 and is being made public here for the first time.
