On this day in 1989, Hillsborough Stadium in Sheffield, England became the site of the worst sporting disaster in UK history, when fans of Liverpool FC attending the FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest were caught in a fatal crush that claimed 97 lives and left 766 injured. Presnted here is footage filmed in the immediate aftermath of the tragedy, including interviews with survivors and witnesses who shared their experiences and answered questions on how the crush occurred, and who they believed to be responsible.
