Bodycam Video Of Child Predator Arrest After He Left Dog In Hot Car . Florida Fish and Wildlife officers were on duty at the Jolly Gator Fish Camp in Geneva. At approximately 1736 hours, several individuals at the Jolly Gator informed the officers that a dog had been left inside a vehicle in the parking area. They stated that the windows were up, and the vehicle was not running.
The officers proceeded to the parking lot and observed a male subject holding the dog on the ground outside the vehicle. Several other people and airboats were parked nearby. The officers realized that the male subject holding the dog was the operator of one of the airboats they had just seen returning from the St. John's River. The subject was later identified by his driver's license as a male born on September 5, 1960. At that time, the dog was unresponsive, limp, had white gums, wasn't breathing, and did not have a pulse. The subject, along with others, attempted to revive the dog, but their efforts were unsuccessful. The subject stated that the dog belonged to him and that the vehicle they were in was also his. The vehicle was identified as a 2016 black Dodge truck with a Florida license plate.
While speaking with family and friends, the subject admitted that he had been on his airboat for approximately two hours and had forgotten that he left his dog inside the truck. Seminole County Animal Services was notified of the situation and later responded. The officers had FWC dispatch run a check on the subject through FCIC/NCIC for wants and warrants, which came back negative. The subject was then placed under arrest for animal cruelty and booked into the Seminole County Jail.
