god i love all of you so much i can't even begin to explain it. anyways here's the OG description i wrote the other night lmao:
happy birthday to me
this week has sucked so far (every time i ask myself if 2020 can somehow get any worse it manages to prove to me it can and will), i had to say goodbye to my lizard and that was really hard. i'm still hurting quite a lot it was very sudden and i miss him terribly.
but it's my birthday so hopefully today goes okay
(well i'm actually writing this ahead of time but yknow what. that's fine)
i'm 24! so that's cool! 2020 keeps throwing more bs at me as much as possible but good things:
- i like my new job
- kyle and i are spending the weekend out of the house (in state hotel visit bc covid restrictions lol)
- i like how this came out??
- datastorm still owns my ass, but what else is new
- like literally idk how to explain this any better but one time recently i went to go use my watch and i forgot i set the background to them and straight up cried a little at work.
- oh yeah and i got into my first zine as a fic writer, so that's rad ig
things about this video:
- it's less layers than sucker for you but not by much (224 vs 241)
- i realized part way through kiku would've been a better fit for the other girl LOL but i had already made my mind up bc takeaoi is really good and i love them so i suffered instead
- i edited this song 3 years ago or so, i didn't think i'd improved all that much but looking at them side by side is nice for my ego lmfao
- i did this in i think 4 sessions of editing, i'm usually the kind of gal to force herself to edit smth in one sitting so it was nice not doing that with smth 30 seconds long
- ryoken's bedroom eyes make me furious. of all the expressions they could've given him they gave him a smug and smoldering look. the writers for vrains were trying to kill me, specifically, and i won't stand for it

AAAAA HAPPY (ONE DAY LATE) BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!!! i wasnt able to get this up yesterday due to having virtually no time lmaooo but im so so happy with how this came out!!! its so beautiful and i just wanted to thank everyone who did a part for doing them and getting them in at a reasonable time and such, you guys are all fantastic.

anyways up until marisson ikari was my favorite pokeani pairing, i love it so much, im constantly reading fanfic of them, like really i have the ffn page with their tag as one of my most viewed pages on my phone, i just really love them? they dont even interact that much but like, every interaction they had made me so happy while i was watching d&p, and imagining how they could eventually meet again later and somehow find some common ground became really fun for me, i really do think they compliment each other so much.

oh man. this is really just. kinda shitty but i had to put smth out for my fave ff ship of all time..............i played it on pc actually a loooooong time ago. i mustve been like. 10 or 11. it was still pretty big on dA lmao if yall remember all the vincent propics...... that was around when i decided to play it. and..... i fell in love pretty instantly lmao
when aerith died in the original, i cried for a week. a WEEK. i remember distinctly bc it was during the last few weeks of summer and i kept going to the park to cry in peace where my parents wouldnt make fun of me LOL. i begged a friend to let me watch advent children at their house and cried even more. the love these two have for each other is so... pure. its beautiful. she may have initially been drawn to him bc of zack, but its so clear that she falls in love with CLOUD as CLOUD in the end, making it all the more painful. and this remake...
they really cranked that up to 11 i did not expect to cry even half as much as i did. or laugh as much as i did oh my gosh, they were so CUTE and then. a lot of the voice lines in this gmv are from the secret dream sequence you can get in chapter 14, and when i got it i bawled like a BABY.
you cant fall in love with me dont i get a say in this? is just so THEM, right down to their very core. the fact that this game hints that its not following the original completely, the fact that things are playing out differently and maybe just MAYBE we get to save aerith this time around.... i cant even explain how much that impacted me while playing.
ff7 isnt ff7 without aerith dying, but at the same time, everyone already knows what happens. part of the reason that it was so impactful in the og was because nobody expected it. and now, how can they possible create that same impact? i want to hope even though itll hurt twice as much if im wrong that subverting that expectation will create that impact.
ANYWAYS.................clerith means a lot to me. their love story turned tragedy hurts me so much, but i cant get enough of it. i remember when i was still a kid i went through every search result i could find on how to revive aerith secret aerith revival etc etc etc lmaoooo. i hope this time around, they get a happy ending.
