Part 2 of "Treat Yourself Like Someone You Are Responsible for Helping" from Jordan B. Peterson's "12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos.
This video (tries to) answer Peterson's assertion of why do people take better care of their pets than themselves. Basically, according to Peterson, it all comes back to Adam, Eve, and Original Sin. There's a seemingly mandatory "how did he get this interpretation out of that paper??" The video wraps up with my alternative advice to what Peterson offers.
Also, a couple corrections for previous Peterson videos are included.
Yes, I am now aware I pronounced Nietzsche wrong. I will try to do better in the future. But I still butcher 'Porsche' every time, so only time will tell if the actual pronunciation will stick.
ETA: Thanks to Kaori Kinoko for pointing out that Judith Butler is behind performativity theory. It'd be nice if YT hadn't ditched the annotations...
